About New Dim Sum Kingdom

Located at 1020 Race St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, New Dim Sum Kingdom operates as a dim sum serving Philadelphia in Pennsylvania. Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

The business lists hours on 2 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 AM–11 PM. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Highlights: - BYOB - ATM available at the restaurant - The red chili sauce is made in-house and outstanding We ordered 1. Classic Pork soup dumplings - the filling and soup is delicious. I wish the cover of the dumpling aka the dough was less tough and hard. That was the only downside. 2. Pan Fried Beef Dumpling - very good. Crispy. 3. Pan Fried Pork Bun - my fav thing we ate. Salty, slightly sweet, soft, yummy filling! Our server was so generous and nice to give us some red chill oil to take back home because we loved it so much! I’d definitely go back!

The atmosphere is what you would expect in a cozy Chinatown restaurant, everything was clean and we were greeted and seated immediately. Prices are very fair and there are a lot of options! I chose the General two chicken, scallion pancakes, and pork buns, they were SO good and fresh. The lady running around was very friendly as well and such a hard worker, we appreciated her effort and were happy to chat with her as well. Overall we had a great experience and will return!

A Happy Accident β€” Kingdom Dim Sum Restaurant Sometimes the best dining experiences are the ones you never planned. We originally set out to visit another dim sum spot on the same street, but fate β€” or perhaps a fortunate wrong turn β€” led us straight through the doors of Kingdom instead. And honestly? We have absolutely no regrets. We decided to go all in and ordered a generous spread of dumplings β€” and Kingdom did not disappoint. We sampled the vegetable, beef, and chicken dumplings, each one beautifully crafted with a delicate wrapper and a flavorful, well-seasoned filling. Whether you are a meat lover or prefer something lighter and plant-based, there is something on the menu for everyone at the table. Every bite was satisfying and full of authentic flavor. To finish things off, we indulged in the custard dumplings for dessert β€” a silky, subtly sweet treat that was the perfect ending to a fantastic dim sum spread. If you have never tried custard dumplings before, Kingdom is the perfect place to start. One of the most pleasant surprises, beyond the food itself, was how incredibly friendly and welcoming the staff were throughout our visit. Attentive without being intrusive, th

Phenomenal!! Genuinely some of the best dumplings we've ever had! Staff was super nice and courteous and always checking in on us. We were a party of 10 and ordered A LOT of food, there did end up being a mistake on the bill but they corrected it immediately. Loved the BYOB and the pricing made for a cheap birthday night out!

Recommend this place! We started our Chinatown food crawl here with steamed beef dumplings and chicken soup dumplings. The chicken soup dumplings mixed with the sauce and chili oil were amazing.
